  • A better interpretation of the metocean data with physics-based Artificial Neural Networks.
  • Extreme statistics sampling with data-driven methods such as probabilistic decomposition and sequential sampling.

Research Assistant (01.2021 - 07.2021)

  • EPSRC funded Supergen ORE project: LoadTide
  • Compiled actuator line CFD model in supercomputer with boundary condition packages.
  • Estimated the lift and drag coefficients table with R blade for measured and NACA blades.
  • Generated Octree mesh and performed over 30 rigorous convergence tests for mesh, turbine blade and tip loss correction parameters.
  • Optimized boundary conditions in CFD simulations to match the sheared velocity profile and turbulence intensity of all 11 measured flood and ebb tidal conditions.
  • The relevant results are published in International Marine Energy Journal.
